Virtual SSWLHC Advocacy Champion Program
Date: To Be Announced
SSW is launching a new program called the Advocacy Champions. Members can sign up to do quarterly advocacy activities by reaching out to their elected officials. SSW will provide talking points or members can select their own topics. Efforts will be reported back to the Advocacy Committee. After completing the year, Champions will receive a small gift and a certificate acknowledging their efforts. NASW’s Sarah Butts, MSW, the Director of Public Policy, will provide us information on advocating with Congress and will share current legislative efforts.
