Foundation Scholarship Application
The Society for Social Work Leadership in Healthcare is now accepting applications for two $1,000.00 scholarships to attend the SSWLHC 2023 Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA, from October 1st through 4th. Scholarships will be awarded to society members who:
- Has never attended the SSWLHC conference in-person (1)
- Has not attended the SSWLHC Annual Conference in the last five years (1)
Applicants will submit electronic copies of the following: a current resume and a letter of support that outlines the applicant’s demonstrated leadership skills or leadership potential from their manager or administrator, using the electronic form below.
All applications must be received by June 30, 2023, to be considered.
Applicants should be aware of the following expectations for scholarship recipients:
- To be eligible, applicants must be a member or committed to becoming a member and serving on an SSWLHC committee for at least one year.
- Applicants will have demonstrated leadership potential in social work in health care as outlined by the letter of recommendation accompanying their application.
- The recipient is invited to attend and speak about their scholarship at the annual Membership Meeting at the annual conference and will be recognized as a scholarship recipient at that time.
- The recipient will be provided with a ticket to attend the Foundation Reception and will be recognized as a scholarship recipient at that time. The Foundation Reception is scheduled to occur in the evening on Monday, October 2nd.
Recipients will receive a 25% discount on the registration cost to attend an SSWLHC Leadership Institute (LI) within one year of this year’s conference. The recipient can attend the LI offered in Atlanta just before the conference, or they may attend a virtual LI within the next twelve months.
