SSWLHC is Giving Back. Service Opportunities at the 53rd Annual Meeting and Conference!

SSWLHC is thrilled to offer two service day opportunities that attendees can participate in at the 2018 Annual Meeting and Conference!

DIY Love Letters is an opportunity for all conference attendees to create a personalized greeting card for seniors in the Portland area who are receiving Meals on Wheels (MOW). The cards we make will be added as a personal touch to the MOW package. The DIY Love Letters card station will be open for attendees throughout the conference.

On Wednesday, October 3rd from 8:00am – 11:30am, eight conference attendees will have the opportunity to volunteer at Store to Door of Oregon. Store to Door is a non-profit organization that supports independent living for Portland area seniors and people with disabilities by providing an affordable, personal, volunteer-based grocery shopping and delivery service. SSWLHC conference attendees who sign up for this opportunity will be grocery shopping for Store to Door clients. Learn more about Store to Door here. Or watch their videos here.
