This Symposium will integrate the 8 Domains of Palliative Care reflected in Palliative Care – A Guide for Health Social Workers as foundations for the day of learning, small and large group exchange and collaboration. Each participant will receive a copy of the Guide and using it as a living document the faculty will model its potential as both a learning and teaching tool and an affirmation of the coherence of health social work with core principles of palliative care. Participants will gain enhanced knowledge and confidence in their ability to intervene clinically and to advocate for their skills as essential to the goal of quality patient-centered family-focused care.
