Please join us for the next SSWLHC Lunch and Learn on Friday September 27th at 12 pm on Grant Writing for Social Workers. Our speaker is Elizabeth Kerr, MSW, LCSW, OSW-C, APHSW-C, Social Work Manager at El Camino Health in Mountain View.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand Organizational Guidelines and Policies: Identify and interpret your organization’s formal and informal codes of conduct to avoid potential violations (who is authorized to request funds/grants), note if an executive/physician sponsor is required to apply and explore the availability and use of discretionary funds, district funds or honoraria within your organization.
  2. Identify strategies to effectively collaborate with designated team members who are responsible for grant requests
  3. Understand the importance of writing clear, measurable evaluation metrics for grant proposals, addressing the funder’s requirements for evidence of impact
  4. Understand the role of indirect and qualitative measures in strengthening your proposal’s case for funding. Learn how to leverage data and metrics to articulate the need for funding in grant proposals
